Mary Ann Nuñez, probably the best female West Coast Swing
dancer in the country finally has Instructional Videos. I picked
them up last night at 7:30PM and went home to watch them. After
watching the first one I couldn't sleep because I was so excited
so I woke up at 3:17 AM and watched the other one. What can I
say except they are GREAT! It's really true what they say about
her, "She Dances Her Way into Your Heart". She has style
& grace and watching her dance is like poetry in motion. They
are two of the best videos I've ever seen. Congratulations to
her for a job well done.

If there is one thing we do know, is that being a great dancer
does not necessarily qualify as being a good teacher. In fact
we have found that most do not teach in a manner that is easily
followed at all. You are the only one who starts by teaching the
essentials, of posture, connection, etc., which without that basic
requirement there can be no foundation to build on. Anyway, I
thought I would write this note of thanks to you, for the best
dance instruction tapes that we have seen so far.

Several years ago, I took your seminar in Austin, Texas and have
the workshop tape, which has been reviewed many times. Having
taken seminars, private and group lessons, and watched tapes of
numerous instructors, I consider that your instruction method,
attention to detail and pleasant personality places you far above
the instructors that I have encountered.

Your workshop (Fancy Footwork) was great!!!!!! Your teaching technique
is fantastic. My husband is a longtime Shagger and I a West Coast
Swing dancer, which I had to give up after moving from Denver
to North Carolina and take up Shagging.
Your knowledge and talent has inspired my husband to try West
Coast Swing dance lessons and I am so happy you came to the Charlotte
NC Winter Classic. Your dancing is a breath of fresh air. Thank
you so much for coming to Charlotte, NC.

It was fun to watch your Basics and Beyond instructional video,
especially the first part with you winning all of your awards.
It addresses the beginner, (which we all seem to be) and it was
very clear that only by "practice, practice and more practice"
will we dancers achieve our goals. It made sure that we understood
each step before it allowed us to proceed to the next step, and
finally it provided a foundation that, as a beginner, if we practice
enough to be able to complete all of the steps, we should be "very
enjoyable to dance with".
